5. May- Moab, Utah

7. July- Olympic National Park, Washington

Heading north is an excellent way to avoid the worst of the hot summer temperatures, and few destinations are better than Olympic National Park, just a three-hour drive from Seattle. The park features some of the best biodiversity in the country, stunning rainforests, and temperatures that rarely exceed 70 degrees. Spend time hiking through the park, taking a scenic drive and seeking out wildlife from afar.

8. August- South Padre Island, Texas

9. September- Cancun, Mexico

10. October- Las Vegas, Nevada

As the weather cools down, you can escape the colder temperatures in a desert paradise. In the fall, Las Vegas offers the perfect weather, featuring 70 to 80-degree temperatures that are much nicer than the summer 110-degree temperatures.

11. November- Breckenridge, Colorado
