The United States Air Force: Our mission is to fly, fight and win.
The USAF or United States Air Force is a branch of the United States Armed Forces that serves as the aerial warfare service branch and among the seven American uniformed services. Originally a part of the United States Army, it was later separated from the army on September 18, 1947, under the National Security Act of 1947.
United States Air Force is the latest branch formed from the U.S. military, and is considered as the biggest and among the world’s most advanced air forces there is. The USAF main functions include:
The USAF is a military service under the Department of Air Force, which is one of the three military divisions of the Department of Defense. The civilian Secretary of Air Force, who is selected by the President along with Senate confirmation,is the head of the Air Force and directly reports to the Secretary of Defense.

Boeing LGM-30G “Minuteman III” Intercontinental Ballistic Missile
Considered as America’s backbone when it comes to nuclear deterrence is the 1960’s LGM-30G Minuteman III. About 450 of these missiles serve as the land-based component of the professed nuclear triad.
Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit
The small fleet of Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit stealth bombers of the US Air Force is the only long-range strike aircraft in the service’s resource. There is no other aircraft in the USAF that can strike targets located on the other side of the world.
Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor
Considered as the best air fighter to ever exist, the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor stealth is the Air Force’s pride. This fighter is so stealthy and has advanced avionics fitted to it. Moreover, it can travel at supersonic speeds above Mach 1.8 at heights of 60,000 feet for long periods.
Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle
Among the arsenal of the Air Force, the F-15E Strike Eagle is the fleet’s long-range and heavy hitter. The Strike Eagle is mainly a strike aircraft. And among the many aircraft that the Air Force has, the Strike Eagle has the greatest range and payload capacity.
