The Lineage 1000 was introduced in 2007 by Brazil’s Embraer, a relative newcomer to the private jet industry, and was certified by the FAA in 2009. Embraer based the aircraft on their successful Embraer 190 regional airliner, adding extra fuel tanks to double its range; it can fly 4,200 miles before refueling. Its cabin space and performance make it a stand-out in its class. The only executive jets that top the Lineage 1000 in space are the Boeing Business Jet, the 737 and Airbus A319 conversions, and the Airbus Corporate Jet.
