The Seattle Seahawks is a professional American football franchise based in Seattle, Washington. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference West Division. In 1976, the Seahawks joined the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s National Football Conference (NFC) west division. They joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Team is owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and is currently coached by Pete Carroll. The Seahawks are the only NFL franchise based in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, and thus attract support from a wide geographical area, including some parts of Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska, as well as Canadian fans in British Columbia and Alberta.
Seahawks are so popular that they have won the hearts of so many fans. Their fans have been referred to collectively as the “12th Man”, “12th Fan” or “12s”. Their fans have twice set the Guinness World Record for the loudest crowd noise at a sporting event, first on September 15, 2013, registering 136.6 dB during a game against the San Francisco 49ers and again on December 2, 2013, during a Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints, with a then record-setting 137.6 dB.
On a game with the Rams, thousands of fans took Private Charter Flights to St. Louis to see the landlocked Seahawks soar over its opponent. It was predictable that the Rams failed to gain the victory while the Seattle Seahawks managed to pull off a victory to the meager tune of 14-9. That said, the top passer in the game went to the Rams’ Clemens with 158 against Seahawks’ Wilson at 139 yards. However, Wilson was better able to make the needed connections producing two touchdowns to Clemens none. Even in rushing, the Rams outperformed the Seahawks with Stacy rushing for 134 yards against 23 yards by Seahawks’ Lynch. Of course, as any good businessman knows, it was all in the receipts, and this was where the Seahawks excelled. It was a good game and those who took the Monday Private Charter Flights from Seattle to St. Louise reported their pleasure from their take off to the main site and the expected win of their Team.
Over the years the Seahawks have had some notable on the team, including Steve Largent, Dave Brown, Jim Zorn, Dave Krieg, John Randle, Kenny Easley, Curt Warner, Joe Nash, Brian Blades, Cortez Kennedy, Joey Galloway, Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, Shaun Alexander,Matt Hasselbeck and Marcus Trufant. Largent and Kennedy have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as was Jones in 2014. Easley, Jones, Kennedy, Krieg, Largent, Warner, and Zorn have been inducted into the Seahawks Ring of Honor, along with the corner back Dave Brown and defensive end Jacob Green.
Surely, it would be another busy Monday night of charter flights for thousands of fans of the Seahawks on September 12; fans who will take private charter flights from Seattle to Century Link Field for the team’s exciting game. Indeed, Seahawks fame is unprecedented.
