Baja California, also known as Free and Sovereign State of Baja California, is a Mexican State. Located in the north-western of the 31 Mexican states, comprise as part of the 32 Mexican Federal Entities. The mainland part of the state is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on the west, Sonora, the Gulf of California, the State of Arizona by the East and the Baja California Sur in the south. Its northern border is the state of California.
